Your Library Director Welcomes You
Welcome to the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library, a State of Texas accredited library. The library staff and I invite you to come and visit us anytime. We are proud of our library and the services we provide to the people of Center, Shelby County, and the surrounding areas of East Texas. We work hard to provide the best library around. We have been serving in the same location for 50 years. In honor of our 50th anniversary, new things are happening at the library, mainly a library transformation project is in the works, and we eagerly anticipate this project happening in the late fall of 2024. Our library has programs for all ages, a very successful summer reading program, and provides computers, free WiFi for public use, books, audiobooks, movies, e-books, and e-audio books. We also have an active Friends of the Library organization that supports the library with two book sales a year.
