Your Library Director Welcomes You
Welcome to the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library, a State of Texas-accredited library. The library staff and I invite you to come and visit us anytime. We are proud of our library and the services we provide to the people of Center, Shelby County, and the surrounding areas of East Texas. We work hard to provide the best library around. We have been serving in the same location for 50 years. In honor of our 50th anniversary, a library transformation project was completed in January of 2025. Our library offers programs for all ages, a highly successful summer reading program, and provides computers, free WiFi for public use, books, movies, e-books, and e-audiobooks. We also have an active Friends of the Library organization that supports the library with two book sales a year.
